Do you need help figuring out how to start a free spay/neuter program or implement a foster home program?
LifeLine's shelter evaluation and consulting services can help!
Founded in 2002, LifeLine Animal Project has developed programs to strengthen the entire animal welfare community by promoting homeless pet adoption, providing affordable spay/neuter services, increasing public awareness, and advocating for lifesaving public policy. LifeLine's approach is to foster collaboration by providing needed lifesaving services that will benefit all animal welfare groups, particularly grassroots rescue groups and government animal control agencies. Our shelter opened in 2003 with a focus on special needs animals, particularly animal cruelty victims. The LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinic opened in 2005 and has performed over 40,000 procedures. Clinic operations expanded to a second location in 2010, making LifeLine the largest spay/neuter resource in the region and primary provider for many assistance programs, shelters and rescue groups.
LifeLine's shelter evaluation team is a group of nationally recognized animal welfare leaders. Our accomplishments include management of a large urban animal control shelter, offsite adoption center, large foster care program and low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter clinics and assistance programs. Team members bring proven results to animal control shelter management:
- Increased animal control shelter adoption rates by 550%
- Reduced euthanasia rates by 70%
- Mobilized rescue groups to save lives
- Provided humane education and community outreach
- Facilitated 5,500 free spay/neuter surgeries for pets of low-income county residents
- Implemented high-volume transport programs
We can provide a full shelter evaluation, evaluate only one particular program or consult on a variety of areas. If needed, we can even implement new procedures or new programs at your shelter.
